Our prayers are short because all we do is ask and petition. We haven’t learned how to be grateful to God. Start your prayer with gratitude and let it be the first words on your lips each morning. It will change the way you see others and circumstances.
1. “Thank God without ceasing…” 1 Thess. 1:3
2. “At midnight I will give thanks to thee…” Psalm 119:62
3. “First, I thank my God…” Romans 1:8
4. “I offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving…” Psalm 107:22
*It is said the Pilgrims set five grains of corn by each plate for a long time as a reminder of their hard times. Every meal before eating they would stare at the five grains which reminded them of their daily ration and hard times of hunger God brought them through.
Idea: Sit something by your plate or food to remind you and your guest of the blessings God has given us. We will use Malawi, Africa pictures around our table. There is a drought, famine, no food and no help except as we pray for them. What is yours?
We LOVE you so.. how about liking us on Facebook?..
